Case Scenarios:

Chronic Illness Management for Employer Groups and Insurance Carrier

Chronic Illness Management:  Say you are an employer or insurance group that has 100 employees.  Of those 100 employees, 10 of them have Diabetes, Asthma, Chrohn’s Disease (bowel disease), Congestive Heart Failure, or Cancer who visit the hospital many times in one year.

Often, with these diseases, these patients will visit the Hospital and/or ER frequently during the year, producing high medical costs.

For example:  We’ll say “Tom” has Diabetes and has an infected toe that needs antibiotic therapy in the hospital.  A daily medical room and board charge “alone” at the hospital would cost you approx. $1,000.00 a day, not including the lab, pharmacy, supply, etc. charges.   O.K. so we’ll say $2,000.00/day for all these charges and the patient stays 7 days for IV antibiotic therapy.   -  This hospital stay would approximately cost you  $14,000.00.

MFC will work with the hospital, yourself, and the patient to eliminate, say, the last 4 days in the hospital, and do home care IV antibiotic therapy for a cost of $400.00 per day.

MFC JUST SAVED YOU:  $6,400.00   for one patient, for one hospital stay.

Think of how much money you could save annually by “managing all your chronically ill patients?”      A LOT OF MONEY!

MFC can also SAVE YOU MONEY by tracking those patients who “utilize” the ER frequently.

MFC can teach those patients how to utilize different health care providers for receiving their health care, decreasing their healthcare costs and decreasing your out-of-pocket health insurance premiums!

Hospital Bill Review for Insurance Carriers or Self Payers

Say you have a $30,000.00 hospital bill.  Once MFC determines if this is a good candidate for saving money, the review process is initiated.

We’ll say there was a $5,000.00 error on this bill.

MFC just saved you $4,000.00.  (80% of the savings)

MFC would be paid $1000.00. (20% of the savings)

What have you got to lose?  Once again, if no money saved, you are not charged a dime.

IT IS A WIN/WIN SITUATION!
